Yeah!!!
Finally putting pen on paper for the first post on LUMEN. Is it a coincidence that I moved back to Kano State yesterday? - after spending
six months away (I visited in between sha). It did feel like home coming even
though I spent almost twenty-four hours on the road! At a point, when I woke up
from some time of sleep, I was expecting to see a sign with Kaduna on it,
instead I saw Lokoja… I thought I was dreaming LOL. The good news is because we
kept on, we did arrive in Kano.
I received so many calls from my friends who were expecting me … wanting me to join up in a program. I had to disappoint them as I had so much on my plate. My parents were not expecting me, cos I did not tell them I was making the journey, but anyways, they were happy to see me.

So here I am now in Kano, and so excited about what Team Lumen
(myself included) and you out there would be doing with this blog. Hopefully, I would have some juicy gist about
the happenings around Kano when I go out later on.
Mudia is the brain
behind the idea – LUMEN. She works as
the creative director for a startup fashion business in Kano State. She sometimes
works with teens, encouraging them to dream and follow their passion.
