Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

By Zion Emmanuel Obeten

Last weekend, I attended the launch of a book, with the above title, written by Miss Blessing Chidimma Jonathan, a lady born and bred in the ancient city of Kano.

Before the launch, I eagerly waited for the day to arrive, as I am a friend of the author, and I very much wanted to be part of her experience she so much wanted to share. According to her, the book is not intended just for monetary gains, but to impact positively on the lives of many, beginning from Kano and spreading all over the world.

This book talks about the value of time. This masterpiece is set up to open our minds and help us to appreciate and plan how we use time as a resource. In the same vein, it talks about our yesterday, how we should handle it in such a way that it does not ruin our today or tomorrow. Here are some of the truths you will find in this mind opener of a book:

Yesterday is History,
Tomorrow is Mystery,
Today is what you have Now.

Yesterday is Gone,
Tomorrow will never Come,
Today is the Gift (present).

Yesterday is a cancelled cheque,
Tomorrow is a promissory note,
Today is the real cash. Use it wisely.

If there is anything you've got to value and put into serious perspective, it's your Time and your Today for a better future called Tomorrow.

The book is a good read, and would insipire you to achieve more. Remember, TIME does not have respect for Age, Colour, Status or Religion.

HAVE A GREAT WEEK AHEAD.
