Free Goal Setting Seminar in Kano!!!

It's that time of the year where most people take stock of the happenings of the year. We sometime may have fallen short of our expectations, or may have exceeded it. One thing is sure, the probability of one exceeding self expectation is dependent on how we took charge of accomplishing previously set goals.

Goals have to be SMART for them to be worthwhile; that is your goals have to be:

Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Time bound

We remember Mandela

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela is a name that brings to memory the fight against enemies of human dignity, and those who did not believe that ALL humans were born free and equal. He died on Wednesday 4, December, 2014. Today, we draw out wisdom from his lifetime; celebrating him.

Mandela’s life after prison, is worthy of note; as it had no trace of bitterness or anger. It amazes me to see many picture of him smiling, with people with whom he had the right to frown at. Borrowing from the words of Barack Obama, his life makes me want to be a better person...

I am Grateful

By Mudiame,

No! It’s not happening today. What time is it? I can’t be tried; I have got more work to do.
I started today with dreams and aspirations which I hoped to turn to my realities by the end of the day. But at this point I question my ability to finish the task at hand. Yes, I started my day with plans; taking stock now, it is obvious that my quest to please people took more of my time than actually pursuing my dreams. To say the truth, I am continuously unhappy about this. So much is expected of me, that many times, I just want to scream – I need my time! A society that expects so much from a girl child at home compounds my challenge. And when you have a temperament like mine…

Enjoy the Moment

By Mudiame

Recently, I have been wondering how to enjoy life. Did I see you smile? It’s a serious thing ooo!

As a young child I anticipated my future, I wanted so much to grow up so I could do more. As a growing teenager, I still had dreams and plans and constantly told myself how I would achieve more tomorrow. Before I knew it, so much time passed by, and I seem now not to have so much time for all my compounding ideas. This has created pressure, asides the above thought constantly being in my mind.

As I sat down today after making a sumptuous dinner of tastefully spiced Indomie for my parents, and Eba for my siblings and me, I realized that after all my hard work, no “thank you” was said. Every other day, this does not get to me, but today I would really have appreciated it, especially from my parents, because I had put so much in their dinner that I would have traded their food for mine. I accused my mum, and she graciously gave a generous portion of “thank you”. As I savored her words, enjoying every moment, I remembered that I have met people, and I have been one of such who ask others not to mention thanks for their acts or deeds.
